The first World Archery Europe Youth Para Archery Campus concluded today in Rovereto, Italy, after five days focused on developing young para-archers from across Europe.
Held from 23 to 27 August at the Kappa Kosmos Training Center, the new WAE initiative brought together Under 21 athletes in a structured training environment designed to support their technical, physical and personal development.
Following the arrival and orientation day, the athletes took part in three full days of training combining technical shooting sessions with physical preparation and individual analysis. The programme also included workshops covering areas such as mental preparation, competition strategy and equipment tuning.
The campus was created as part of World Archery Europe’s efforts to strengthen the development pathway for young para-archers and to provide further opportunities for athletes and coaches from different Member Associations to work and learn together.
Beyond the shooting line, the week also offered an opportunity for the participants to exchange experiences and build connections within the European para archery community.
The programme concluded on Thursday with final evaluation activities before the departure of the participants.
The Youth Para Archery Campus is intended to contribute to the long-term development of future international athletes while promoting inclusion, equal opportunities and stronger cooperation between European Member Associations.
