Germany leads European Grand Prix 2019

First place for Germany in the Final Medal Standings and last quotas for Minsk 2019.

Not an easy week in Bucharest (ROU) with strange and cold weather, but always great archery time.

In the final medal standings for Nations GERMANY is first with 7 medals (3 golds, 2 silvers and 2 bronzes), NETHERLANDS second (3 medals) and GREAT BRITAIN third (6 medals).

Steve WIJLER (NED), after the successful Indoor Season, takes first place in Recurve Men, while Karyna KAZLOUSKAYA (BLR) in Women competition.

In Compound division Italy on fire with 3 medals out of 6 available: Valerio DELLA STUA, gold in men class; Amanda MLINARIC (CRO) defeats Marcella TONIOLI in gold medal match; third place for Irene FRANCHINI.

Dutch team, after the quotas for European Games, takes also gold in Recurve Men Team beating France.

No problem for Germany, in Recurve women team, with a 6-0 over Russia and in Compound Men Team 231-225 over Great Britain.

A double final fo Italy in Mixed Team competition: beating Belarus (6-2) in Recurve, but defeated by Great Britain in Compound (150-141).

A Grand Prix with three new European records after qualification arrows: Mete GAZOZ (TUR) 698 pts in Recurve Men, NETHERLANDS with 2045 pts in Recurve Men Team and GERMANY in Recurve Women Team with 1996 pts.

This morning were assigned also last individual quota places for European Games 2019 in Minsk: Estonia (in Recurve Men) and Finland (in Recurve Women); in addiction, Georgia and Switzerland were officially confirmed.
