Archery was struck down by a deep mourning for the passing away of Mr Francois de Massary, founder and Honorary President of EMAU and former Vice President of World Archery. He played a leading role in the development and promotion of Archery in France and through Europe.
Mr Francois de Massary founded EMAU in 1988, afterwards for many years he firmly worked to organize and strengthen our Union together with EMAU former President Mr Gino Mattielli. His characteristic features, both at human and sport level, made him an irreplaceable point of reference for world and European archery.
EMAU President, together with EMAU Council and the Secretary General Marinella Pisciotti, express to his family, friends and French archery the sincerest condolences for this great loss.
