From 15 to 20 September 2025, Poland will host one of Europe’s premier archery events: the European Field Archery Championships in Walbrzych–Książ. This marks the 26th edition of the Championships, a tradition in European archery that dates back to 1970.
What’s At Stake
The Championships will see the best field archers from across the continent competing for titles in three bow styles: recurve, compound, and barebow. Events will span senior and under‑21 categories, both individual and team formats, including mixed teams.
Athletes will be looking not only for podium finishes but also solid results to build momentum toward future major events, such as the combined 2026 World Archery Field and 3D Championships.
The Field: Top Talent Assembled
This year’s competition promises to be especially exciting due to the depth of talent on display. Defending champions from the 2025 World Games in recurve and barebow, including Matteo Borsani, Denisa Barankova, Simone Barbieri, and Alicia Baumert, will be in Poland aiming to retain or reclaim titles.
On the compound side, archers like Nicolas Girard (recent target World Champion), Mathias Fullerton, and Nico Wiener are expected to be among the frontrunners.
With 184 competitors (105 men, 79 women) from 25 countries declared to take part, the competition will be intense.
Conditions & Schedule
Weather in Walbrzych–Książ is expected to be favourable sunny, dry, and temperate — which should help archers focus on their precision without worrying about adverse conditions.
