Divčibare, Serbia — From September 29 to October 5, 2025, Europe’s top 3D archers converged in the rugged forests of Divčibare, Serbia, for the European 3D Archery Championships. The competition pushed athletes to their limits, challenging them with unmarked terrain, shifting light, and forested elevation changes.

Dramatic Conditions and Intense Competition

The forested landscape of Mount Maljen provided a stunning but unforgiving stage for the event. Competitors faced steep inclines, dense foliage, and variable visibility — a true test of range‑estimation and adaptability. Weather also played its part: at times heavy fog and snowfall disrupted the schedule, forcing organizers to compress match days and relocate finals closer to accommodations. Despite the challenges, the athletes delivered high drama and tight finishes.

Top Results & Highlights

In the Traditional Mixed Team event, Austria’s Claudia Weinberger and Reinhard Leixner clinched gold with a score of 1652, edging out Germany (1649) and Great Britain (1638). Italy’s team — Sabrina Vannini and Luca Rossi — placed 5th with a score of 1628.

Meanwhile, in the men’s team competition, Austria also rose to the top, defeating other strong contingents such as Italy, Great Britain, and Serbia.

On the individual front, Serbian archer Stevan Josipović stood out. He advanced to the final rounds and represented his home nation with strong performances, though in bracket play he faced stiff competition.

Overall Impact & Looking Ahead

Despite the unpredictable weather and logistical challenges, the event succeeded in showcasing the depth of European 3D archery. Participating nations demonstrated not only precision but resilience, adapting to changing conditions and tight match schedules.

The results from Divčibare will no doubt shape national selections and strategies as archers aim toward World Championships and future continental events. Europe’s 3D archery scene emerges from Serbia stronger — and hungrier for the next challenge.
