The WAE Executive Board Meeting was held in St. Petersburg on 11th May.
These are some of the important decisions taken by the Board members.
European Games
The President informed that archery is an official sport of the 2015 European Games. The Games will be held in Baku (Azerbaijan) in 2015, and it is estimated to be approximately 7000 athletes competing across the sports.
The competition format will be the same of the Olympic Games. 64 men and 64 women competing in the Recurve Division for Individual and Team events. WAE is waiting for the decision of the EOC about a mixed team competition. The schedule to take place will be six days competition.
The qualification for the European Games will be held in Echmiadzin (ARM) during the European Outdoor Championships on 21st-26th July 2014. The second qualification will be held during the first leg of the Grand Prix in 2015.
WAE appointed as Technical Delegate Mrs. Eva Thesen (NOR).
Junior Cup
The 2nd leg of Junior Cup competition will be held 30 June-5 July 2014.
Judges Seminar
The Judges Committee will organize from 25th to 27th October 2013 in Wiesbaden (GER) a training Seminar for National judges interesting to be examined for WAE Continental Judge status.
