It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we learned of the sudden and tragic passing of Slovak Olympian and archer, Denisa Hurban Baránková, at the young age of 24.
The international archery community has lost a remarkably talented athlete, a dedicated competitor, and a bright light whose positivity inspired those around her. Words cannot adequately express the shock and sorrow of this immense loss.
On behalf of World Archery Europe, we extend our deepest, most heartfelt condolences to her husband, Vladimír Hurban Jr., her family, friends, and the Slovak Archery Association.
