DTAC News – Coaching Course Conductor

In a common project with EMAU, World Archery, Olympic Solidarity, European NOCs, CNOSF and the French Archery Federation, a major project was proposed to European Member Associations and implemented in 2011 and 2012.

The principle of this project was to teach archery coaches, with a good experience at level 2 (upon 3), how to train level 1 and level 2 coaches. This could help, in a close future, to train more level 1 and 2 archery coaches in Europe.

The EMAU Coaching Courses in 2011 and 2012 took place in Compiegne/France under the organization of French Archery Federation, with Lecturers: Mr. Pascal Colmaire-FITA Development and Education Director and Mr. Andre Korlaar-Expert Archery the Netherlands.

The EMAU Certificates were handed out to the participants by Mr. Philippe Bouclet, EMAU Council Member and President of French Archery Federation and Mrs Evelyn Papadopoulou, EMAU Council Member and EMAU DTAC Chairwoman.

The importance and the benefit of this EMAU development project is that the successful participants can organize and teach level 1 and 2 coaching courses in their countries and abroad.

World Archery has already allocated to the EMAU Coaching Course Conductors: Mrs Urte Paulus/AUT and Mr Carlos Freitas/POR the mission of conducting a level 1 Archery Coaching Course in Malawi and Chad, respectively.
