WAEJudgesnew

A successful WAE Continental Judge Seminar was held in Sallanches (FRA) from 23 to 25 October 2015, conducted by WAE Judges Committee, Mr. Pol Ney, Mr. Jean Martens and Mr. Henk Wagemakers.

23 candidates from 14 European Member Associations participated to the Seminar. The average age of the participants was 38 years.

The seminar presentations and lecturing covered extensively all aspects of the rules and procedures related to outdoor and indoor target archery; it covered the basics of Field & 3D archery, and director of shooting tasks and duties. Four case study sessions and practical workshops completed the programme of two intensive working days.

The judge committee acknowledged the high level of knowledge and competence of the majority of the participants, who interacted very actively during the seminar presentations and at the analysis of the case studies.

Several of the participants already had in the past the opportunity to officiate as national judge at WAE and WA events or were otherwise involved in the organisation of these competitions. This was well reflected by their interventions and input during the workshops.

Based on the markings of the written exam and the evaluation of the candidates about their involvement in the case studies and workshops, the Judge Committee proposes to WAE Executive Board to nominate following candidates to the status as WAE Continental Judge:
