DAY 6 – European Grand Prix 1st Leg Medals Awarded

The European Grand Prix 1st leg 2023 in Lilleshall (GBR) ends with the assignment of the podiums. Great Britain conquers the top of the final medal standings with 5 medals (3 gold, 2 silver), second place for Germany with 5 medals, ( 2 gold one less gold medal than Great Britain, 1 silver and 1 bronze), third is Nederland (4 medals) and fourth place for Italy (3 medals).

COMPOUND:

Women team:

Great Britain, with Foster, Gibson and Stretton, is the winner in Women Team competition beating 230-229 Italy (Natale, Ret, Tonioli). Bronze medal for Nederland (De Laat, Janssen, Stas-Cowenberg) against Germany (Boehnke, Raab, Walter) 216-212 (match played on April 5th).

Men team:

Italy (Bruno, Fregnan, Godano) takes the victory againts Greece (Drakiotis, Kostopoulos, Koumertas) 229-221; third place for Israel (Carmi, Hadar, Yamrom) over Great Britain (Mc Queen, Richards, Thomas-Prause) 217-219 (match played on April 5th).

Mixed team:

Luxemburg (Shkolna, Seywert) conquer the gold medal against the Great Britain (Gibson, Thomas-Prsause) with the score 157-154. In the match held april on 7 april Germany (Raab, Grafmans) win the bronze medal 155-151 against Austria (Ronacher, Heincz).

 

Women Individual:

Ella Gibson (GBR) takes gold in Women final against Marya Shkolna (LUX) 145-143. Lisell Jaatma (EST) is third, winning the small final 145-138 against Andrea Robles (CZE).

 

Men Individual:

Jozef Bosanky (SVK) is the winner in men competition, he defeated Yamrom Shamai (ISR) 146-145. Bronze medal for Marco Bruno (ITA)  only after shootoff arrows against Drakiotis Dimitrios – Konstantinos (GRE) 145 (9+) – 145 (9).

 

RECURVE:

Women team:

Germany (Bauer, Kropplen, Tartler) takes the victory againts Spain (Canales, Fernandez Infante, Unamunzaga Altuna) 6-2; third place for Denmark (Danstrup Andersen, Degn, Jakobsen) over Italy (Di Francesco, Landi, Landi) 6-2 (match played on April 4th).

 

Men team:

Germany, Kramer, Unruh and Wieser, is the winner in Men Team competition beating 6-2 Nederland (Broeksm, Roos, Wijler). Bronze medal for Ukraine (Kozhokar, Ovchynnikov, Ruban) against Slovakia (Duchon, Duchon, Medveczky) with a clear 6-0 (match played on April 4th).

Mixed team:

Nederland (Schloesser, Wijler) gets the gold medal against Great Britain (Healey, Hall) with the score 5-3. Third place for France (Lopez, Addis) in the match on 7 aprile, over the Germany (Bauer, Unrhu) 6-2.

 

Women Individual:

Penny Healey (GBR) is the winner in women competition, he defeated Elina Idensen (GER) 7-1. Bronze medal for Tartler Elisa (GER)  with a clear 6-0 toward Papadopulo Dimitra (GRE).

Men Individual:

Jean Charles Valladont (FRA) wins the gold medal in the shoot off at the end of an exciting match against Wijler Steve (NED) 6-5 (T 10-9). Bronze medal for the Olympic Champion Mete Gazoz (TUR) against Maximilian Weckmueller (GER) 7-3.
