Archery’s test event for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games will take place in July 2019.
Tokyo 2020 has released the calendar of its test events taking place from the end of 2018 through to November 2019, including a seven-day archery competition.
The archery test event for the next Olympic and Paralympic Games will take place on 11-18 July 2019 at the actual competition venue of Dream Island Archery Field and follow a similar format to the Olympics.
For the first time, it will include a recurve mixed team event ahead of its debut on the Olympic Programme, alongside competitions for both recurve men and recurve women.
It will not include a full team event, unlike the Games.
Tokyo 2020 Test Event schedule:
- 11 July: Practice
- 12 July: Ranking round
- 13 July: Mixed team eliminations and finals
- 14-16 July: Individual eliminations
- 17 July: Women’s eliminations and finals
- 18 July: Men’s eliminations and finals
